Abstract

This study aims to examine the improvement of students' representation ability of Class VIII on the material of two-variable linear equation system through contextual approach. This type of research is classroom action research. The method of this research is qualitative descriptive. This research was conducted on Grade VIII-A students of SMP Mahardhika in the academic year 2017/2018 with 39 students. The instrument used is a student's mathematical representation test, cycles I and II tests (after giving of action), and an observation sheet for teachers and students to conditions of action implementation. The results of this study indicate that the aspect of mathematical representation ability of students has increased because of the problems tested in each test, the more students who score above the KKM. Based on the work indicator, it is concluded that the mathematical representation ability of grade VIII-A students of SMP Mahardhika Batujajar on two-variable linear equation system can be improved through contextual approach.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pemahaman konsep siswa dalam memecahkan masalah matematika yang ditinjau dari minat belajar siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 1 Boyolangu pada siswa kelas VII-A dengan subjek sebanyak 40 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes angket minat belajar dan tes masalah himpunan. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi tes angket minat belajar, tes masalah himpunan dan wawancara. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian yaitu pemahaman konsep subjek yang memiliki minat belajar tinggi dalam memecahkan masalah dapat menyatakan ulang konsep dengan jelas dan benar, mampu mengklasifikasikan objek menurut sifatnya, mampu menerapkan konsep operasi himpunan dengan benar, menyajikan konsep himpunan dalam bentuk representasi matematika yang tepat, dapat mengaitkan konsep yang digunakan sehingga dapat memecahkan masalah dengan benar.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Eclectic Learning Methods on English learning outcomes of students of Class X Busana Boutique 3 in SMK N 2 Gedangsari, Gunungkidul in the academic year 2017/2018 viewed from teaching writing. This research is a pseudo experiment. Techniques of collecting data using test techniques, questionnaires, and documentation. The instrument test contains 30 multiple choice questions, and the questionnaire instrument contains 20 statements. The result, the researchers obtained fcount = 1.94 and p = 3.37, the difference in average learning outcomes before treatment method and after was 15.7, the average questionnaire was 12.8. The percentage of students who have had KKM before and after treatment increased 79%, from 14% to 93%. Based on the average learning outcomes and questionnaires, then there is the influence of eclectic methods on learning outcomes of English students class X Busana Boutique 3 in terms of teaching writing.Keywords: eclectic learning model, learning outcomes, and teaching writing.

Abstract

The prosocial behavior of preschool children hasn’t developed, so it is much needed to conduct some ways to develop the prosocial behavior. Storytelling using Wayang Kancil is one of the wealth of Indonesia Nation. It is expected to be an interesting media that can stimulate prosocial behavior of preschool children. The purpose of this study is to find whether story telling using Wayang Kancil can enhance the understanding of prosocial behavior for preschool children. This study uses quasi-experimental method, which involves two subject groups from two Kindergartens as experimental and control group. The implementation of storytelling using Wayang Kancil is delivered by storyteller. The knowledge measurement of prosocial behavior for subject is well conducted before and after the treatment. The measurement is conducted by giving stimulus like pictorial story to the subjects. After that, the subject’s answer is given score depends on scoring criteria. The analysis data uses Mann-Whitney U Test that shows the significant difference in understanding prosocialattitude between experimental and control groups (Z=-3,137; p=0,002 (p<0,01)). The understanding of prosocial behavior in experimental group is higher than the control group.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the improvement of learning achievement of students in class X.9 SMAN Negeri 10 Bandar Lampung city on learning Islamic Education (PAI) through the implementation of Small Group Discussion method. The type of research used in this research is Classroom Action Research (PTK). This research was done in three cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results of the study showed an increase in learning achievement of learners. In the first cycle the average value obtained by learners of 62.65 with a percentage of mastery of 23.53%. On the second cycle there was an average increase of 72.94 with the percentage of mastery of 64.71%. Furthermore, in the third cycle the average value of student learning achievement again increased to 79.71 with a percentage of completeness of 91.18%. Based on this, it can be concluded that the implementation of Small Group Discussion method has an impact on the improvement of learning achievement of high school X students in Islamic Religious Education subjects.Kata kunci : Small Group Discussion, Achievement

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to group the area in Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) to find out the characteristics of Social Welfare Issues (PMKS) in DIY 2016 in the grouped area. This is expected to assist the government in making appropriate policies in the formulation of regulations in addressing the problems of social welfare in the DIY region which has an impact on the realization of a prosperous society so as to create a better young generation and improve the quality of life of the community. Cluster analysis used by Data Mining approach with Self Organizing Maps method. The groupings produce 5 Clusters that have different characteristics. Cluster 1 has the capabilities of persons with disabilities, displaced persons and high socio-economic vulnerable women, Cluster 2 has characteristics of persons with disabilities and high susceptibilities, Cluster 3 has a family of psychological and high-scoring social problems, Cluster 4 has characteristics of street children and persons with disabilities high, and Cluster 5 has the characteristics of children dealing with high laws.

Abstract

School-refusal behavior is defined as absenteeism in schools, there are barriers to leaving for school or barriers to being in school. Interventions to deal with school-refusal behavior can be done in school settings, families and on children directly. This case study aims to implement family-based school-refusal interventions. The main question in this study is how to improve the presence of children who experience school-refusal? The process has been done are: (1) assess the subject; (2) analyze the problem; (3) arrange interventions for the subject; (4) implementing interventions; (5) evaluating the effect of intervention. The conclusion of this study is that there is an increase in school attendance after family-based interventions. The conclusion of this study is that school-refusal intervention in elementary school children requires cooperation between family and school.

Abstract

The background of this research problem, starting from the still low ability of mathematical communication and the activity of high school students. The purpose of this research is to describe the improvement of mathematical communication ability and activity of class X students of SMA Muhamadiyah 1 Cimahi. Design Research conducted a classroom study using John Elliot's model. The research flow has two cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, execution, observation and reflection. The result of this research is that there is improvement of mathematical communication ability and activeness by applying problem posing approach on learning mathematics about SPLTV in SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Cimahi class X, for the improvement of mathematical communication ability viewed based on percentage of students whose value is below KKM, equal to KKM, and above the KKM sequentially respectively by 9.68%, 54.84%, and 96.77%. To increase student activeness can be seen based on percentage of students who have active active value and very active in cycle I and cycle II, respectively equal to 35,48% and 93,54%.

Abstract

This study aims to develop teaching materials and to know the perception of PGSD students on teaching materials e-learning courses of instructional media. The research method used is survey method with previously conducted research development method. The population in the study were PGSD UST students who took the Learning Media course in the Even Semester of the academic year 2016/2017 with samples taken by cluster random sampling (random sampling by class). Data collection techniques were done by distributing questionnaires to respondents. Data analysis is done descriptively with table frequency distribution. The results showed that the perception of PGSD students on learning materials e-learning subjects of SD Learning Media included in either category. This is shown in the results of research stating that 81% of the respondents have a good perception.
